Self storage default already kicks people when down. Uses law to add moral insult to economic injury is harsh and accomplishes little.

An auction should be "last" resort. I believe the process has been conducted improperly.

A settlement & release option not available. Will file wrongful sale.

Unit in auction mode. Harsh treatment to people when economic injury is apparent. No regards only law. Pitiful business

NEVER GO TO ANY EXTRA SPACE STORAGE THEY ARE A SHAM!!!

They gave me their word per the contact I entered into that rates may increase, but only once annually, and they would inform me beforehand. EXTRA SPACE lies right out the gate to get you to sign on. Not only did I get rate increases in the first 6 months but it has been very substantial, over $60 in a year. THIS IS DISGUSTING. After complaining to many people (it was never the same person twice working the location I rented from), but the District manager called me and said (I QUOTE) "Your rate will no longer increase. It is my guarantee to keep your rate at the level it is at that point and never again increase." LIES, LIES, LIES!! I gave it a few months and then another rate increase, but without a notice of it happening this time. EXTRA SPACE IS A SCAM!!

I called the facility manager at the location of my unit she informed me that multiple people have called complaining of the same issue as me. I submitted my payment on 01-02-20 to avoid incurring a late a due to extra space system malfunctioning I was still charged a $20 late fee even though the manager confirmed there was a system error the help desk rep also confirmed the same thing. I would NEVER refer anyone to do business with this company. In 12 months I have been late once they do not take any responsibility for glitches that effect people accounts into consideration.

We have storage at 1200 Legion NE Albuquerque, NM. There is often nobody on duty here despite claims of this being a secure location.

Our trailer was broken into and burglarized and there was no employee to be found anywhere. Called corporate who said they would contact the manager. I observed a homeless *** living inside the security fence on the property. As there was nobody to contact locally the *** is still on the property.

Contacted the police who suggested I file a report and I did. I have noted many times that there is nobody around who works for Extra Space and on Sunday the place is wide open. Evidently the security cameras are useless.

Unsecured property and the customer service has been non-existent. I have attached photos of the house that the homeless individual built on Extra Space property,.

I contacted customer service because I was unable to log into my account and make the payment. The customer service representative David, informed me that there was not an email on my account and that I needed to speak to my local manager. I then asked him why was I able to pay online last month. He informed me that he did not know, and when I asked for him to ask someone else, and while I responded to his last request, he actually send a response to me "Thank you for choosing Extra Space. We appreciate your business." right in the middle of me typing a response and disconnected the chat.

I logged in to pay right at the deadline my payday. I was unable to and contacted the local office. The young lady acknowledges that it was inputted in wrong on their end. This is how I now inquired a late fee.

Although it’s not much I’m unable to pay it. Rightfully so due to their error should have gladly waived a fee. Now they wanted me to sign a partial payment form with nothing to show it’s lawful. I said no because I am paying you the full amount of my monthly bill.

By law you can’t refuse a payment.

Me signing a lie is not ok. A late fee isn’t a partial payment.

Storage unit defective at la quinta ca facility

i went to unit to store some things yesterday. First time i have been to the storage unit.paid in full until Dec.31 2019. the slide to open the door could not ve pulled back to open the door. when a customer helped me slide it back it will now not move forward or fit tge slots properly to add my ver expensive lock!! so I cant store anything. I called manager this morning who will not give me another unit and told me nothing is wrong!! it is?defective!! i cant store anything if i cant lock it! its your problem a facility problem. I want it fixed and a Discount or free months rent for all the distress you have caused me. i am coming here with movers in January i need a unit i can lock and unlock. i am very upset with how this is tut out my very first month here! la quinta. CA facility

My stuff was sold at the auction the buyer added extra stuff in my storage and never came back and they said it’s on me even though the storage unit was auctioned they put their own lock on and everything

There where multiple lies saying they have talked to my wife my wife has never called the building was locked and closed at 5:30 pm and could not enter even tho the office is spost to be open till 6 pm they will not work with someone that has been in a car accident and was told that they have tried reaching us but no response and that’s funny when you say you have talked to my wife every day I chose to store here I didn’t want anywhere else and now I guess I found out how they do you at this location is to lie

The facility at 6640 Industrial Hyway is embedded in fraud, plus you are not allowed to opt out of the company calling you or sending you e-mails

Problems has not been resolved. Manager has stated that someone spoke to me when no one spoke to me. This is another problem.

The Manager changed my lease, and then locked me out of one of the units that he changed. This is the 1st day I am late which was intentional, documentation for future court case. My lease was changed, when? I don't know, thus, a new lease need to be signed between facility and myself as the present lease has been voided by the change.

The property manager is extremely disrespectful and love to fight. She stay calling me out of my name and disrespecting me. She cut my lock off when i didnt owe her anything because my payment was always on time i also found my unit door lift up open up and my furniture covered in mud. Things missing out of unit. And when i speak to her about it she wants to fight. She keep going into my unit. And messing with my things and my lock. I had to buy 7 locks in the 5 months of being there. And other unit owner told me that she is the one that went into my unit

I have been with extra space storage since November 2018. Because I get so busy I’ve always received courtesy call from someone every month regarding my payment the past two months I did not receive a courtesy cal. I open my email today and I get a email of a bill for $341 when I called and spoke with the female at that location it was not the manager with her nasty attitude, an no customer service skills an Happy didn’t have anything to say when I informed her about the courtesy call. She hung up on me and I felt that that was the rudest thing for someone like that to do I did call back and I did let her know that that was very disrespectful and rude of her to hang up on me I was just trying to get a better understanding on two things why I did not get the courtesy phone call like I normally get and has been getting since November 2018 and two why is my bill so high and looks like I was charged 190 something dollars in just fees. I tried to call the corporate office but the number that was listed was an incorrect number so I end up calling one of your locations and he informed me that he will send an email to the district manager for them to give me a call back waiting
