Watch out using your credit card!@@@

The person behind desk should never ever take your card and lay in down in front of them and start typing.!!!! You should always slide ur own card and that person behind desk should never touch ur card!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something very shady going on at the Capitola, Ca storage place with this girl. I also had this combo lock incident as well with her!!!! Our identity and our bank accounts are at risk!!!! I will go to the police today and put the storage unit on blast. Something is very wrong!!!!!!

April 12 at approximately 9:45am. I have a video of the interaction and the Store Manager (Shawn) displaying an extremely rude attitude, confrontational tone and condescending demeanor. I am furious with how I was treated and absolutely shocked that the level of unprofessionalism is accepted and promoted to a Store MANAGER!

at your store in davie florida someone used my card and used 129.11 which was not me because of the transaction my account was put in a negative balance T he transaction was pending I made 10 calls to Extra Space to get to the right person There was 4 that i talked to that were very rude and did not represent your company well Because of the transaction pending and the negative balance i cannot get my blood pressure meds When i finally called the store in more than 129.11 cents my number is 1-31*-500-****Davie Florida and talked to the manager he said he would cancel the transaction but he had to talk to someone else Well wheni woke up this morning and checked my bank account the transaction went through which now i have a negative balance of 73.37 cents i want this resolved today or i will contact my lawyer and if i get a heart attack it will cost your company

Horrible Customer service

Extra Space Storage at 13126 Ranch rd 620 is not the place for a minority. You will be followed everytime you are there, regardless if you're constantly paying on time. The manager is very prejudice, and if you file a complaint then you will be asked to relocate by the district supervisor. My family had a horrible experience. Also, you will put on the 3rd floor even when there's several available units with easier access on the 1st floor. It was truly the worst place we've ever rented space from, especially when we paid $340 a month like clock work. I wouldn't give 1 star but you have to put something in order for the review to post.

Weve got issues but id say it aint nothing like in the hick states. Shake my head.

Dishonest Practices

Poor security, frequent break ins, front gate broken a lot and they just leave it open at night, also price hikes of over $15 in just a few months and they did not notify me as they are supposed to. when I called them to try and get this issue resolved they just said that they sent letters which they most definitely did not. They refused to refund my card and I will be moving my RV from there because they are not trustworthy in any way shape or form. I advise to avoid at all costs.

Workers told me wrong info and now I'm being overcharged

I was trying to 0ay January bill cause Feb was right around corner and I was gonna move things out. So I paid online but they took the whole 250. I called and it was explained u can't say partial over phone, so they refunded the money do I could come in n pay for one month. I was told to pay by a certain date to avoid auction fees. The day I tried to pay I was then told instead of of a 137 i owed 360-370. Now it's two weeks later and no one has contacted alled me back from the headquarters as I'm being told. I'm on fixed income n explained this so they basically trying make it out next month so I will owe more money.

Good evening , I would like to speak to someone about a issue that I’m having your location here in Phila .

I started to rent a 10x15 on Feb 14,2019 and about 2 days later spoke to the same sales person who already knew I might need to upgrade to the largest unit a 10x30 with paying the difference which I did no problem. He assure me that everything will stay the same as far paying the new price starting in April that March is still free as the agreement. Now I’m told that’s not how it goes since I went to a different size unit I got penalized . I would like to know if this is true. Thank you for your time hope to hear back from someone . Unprofessional / Move Out

On 2-13-19, at 11:00 am I went to cancel my RV- P6 in Hesperia, CA. I spoke with a young lady. I explained the rates are getting to high. She pulled up my account and canceled my space effective immediately, 11:11 am. After leaving I discovered that I had already paid for the month , $94 on 2-11-19. She never mentioned it. John asked me if the space was already empty; I said yes. I have another unit C-13, a 10x20 storage unit. I thought P6 was $124. I called John at 11:26 am and explained the issue. He told me that he already had another person on the way to rent the space. I didn't receive and consideration from John. I would have retained RV- P6 because it was cheaper and canceled C-13 next month, which has increased $65 to $124. I never received any offer of a Senior discount, or refund. I've rented since 2009. Only after I demanded a refund, John said he would credit me $78. The treatment I received was disrespectful and very unprofessional.

they don't care about customers at all. that's not their business.

their business is ALL about increasing profit margins for the landlord, whether it's them or a third party. that's their true platform. they market themselves to landlords/mom & pop storage owners to increase their revenue and take over all management for them. many want to sell and they need the increased profitability to be able to sell at a higher price.

when I had my issue with them, it was crystal clear they wanted and cared nothing about customer service. not their business!

Bad customer service

There was a mouse outside of my unit and let the office know. They said would let the exterminator know. Now a month later and there are two mice inside the unit. Went by today to say I was vacating in 9 days and was told by the manager I had to pay the entire month of 175. Last month was 168. I have had that unit for 16 years and never a problem until the last 9 months. I plan on bringing a tv crew to film the inside of my unit. Extra Space is quite expensive and the rodents and massive dust are inexcusable. Thank you

Oh my gosh. I lost a whole storage unit in vancouver wa off of 78th because it got infrlested and i mean INFESTED COMPLETELY with those littoe stink beetle bugs and they wouldnt do anything.

I had to pay them to clean it out. Everything got tossed. So gross.

I only had the unyil for maybe 3 months. And it was even a partial inside unit.

When I made my original reservation by phone with customs service i request 24 hours acces for my account . This was strongly emphasize that I would need access after 10p.m. because I work 7am-8pm most days. Which by those hours that definitely would limit my time that I would be available to do the things in my storage in the evening. So I check in on Saturday they said they would have to get permission by the GM because didn't know how to grant me 24-hour access. So days later I received a text message from a rep who's name was Sarah. This is text messaging:

Hi Sarah thanks for texting me back I was getting a little worried because I was kind of close last night only having a very limited amount before 10pm closing. 24 access would be absolutely wonderful and I will most likely be there way after 10 tonight.. thanks again and have a wonderful day So that brings us to last night at 9:45 pm. I had everything ready to be moved into my storage unit. I got to my storage unit at 9:45pm and my access code is denied
The hours for the facility of from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.. but I was granted 24-hour access < by Sarah vi-text> because of my busy work schedule and the limited amount time I have to move items into my storage unit.That sad I had to give them 24-hour call and they did not call me back until after I call for a second time that emergency number. And that was at 11:30. Then they finally called me back and it immediately hung up after the operator connected me to the business manager at the C-ville facility. So i went to stay a friends house praying and hoping that it wouldn't rain last night or today. Mainly because all mine and my family personal stuff is sitting outside in a open trailer. I have to vacated my rental property by 8am this morning 6/29 . My lanlord couldn't be reached by phone at 11:30 last night. I had to vacate the property. I was able to reach her early this morning. And, know im dealing with that. And, it doesn't look good or on me at all.
It is now 11:18 on Friday and i still have not been reached by phone or emil from Cville Extra Space Storage. Why? This needs to addressed immediately. My cell is 434760**** cell or email not preferable at rhill@***a-va.org.

I had Fort Knox storage for 3 years and Extra Space bought them out and took over the building and storage services, in 3 months my storage fees went up 5 times and that's when i moved out

I was forced to move out of my home neighborhood was bad and neighbors was threatening my life...I was unable to keep up with payments my stuff will be auctioned off On the 16th I need assistance with payment I can't afford to loose my stuff. FYI been homeless without phone and just now able to get in contact...I just wanted setup an payment plan asap...please (323)742-**** I won't have 986 by Wed I don see that happening...What an I do to keep my stuff?

They will say, on repeat, that they want nothing more than to keep you with your things...so pay them every penny by the minute they demand it or else. This place cares less about its customers (even LONG TERM customers than any company I have ever dealt with in my entire life.

Their customer service policy is to argue to the death with customers then sell their stuff out from under them if they don’t like it. Their signs should read, at Extra Space we just don’t give a damn...
