Extra Space Storage - Thieves in the Storage Business Headquart in Utah
We have a storage at Extra Space Storage in Coral Springs, FL. Our storage cost has gone up three times in the first quarter of this year. The first two times we did not get notice and our bank sent the normal payment which Extra Space Storage just held the check. The payment was recorded as late with a large late fee. They locked the storage room we had and would not unlock it unless paid the full amount.
I filed a complaint with the Florida BBB. They transferred my complaint to the Utah office and the complaint was denied both times.
I found out about this increase today and called the Storage. The manager told me." We can go up when we get ready. We do not work off of contracts and our customers are month to month so we can go up each month if we want".
I then called the BBB again and they passed the hot potato by sending back to the Utah office. Why have a BBB?
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Monetary Loss: $185.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
I didn't like: Jacked up, Pricing practices.
